[Feature Request] gif image animation in profiles and banners (self.piefed_meta)

Currently the profile and banner images that are gifs don't animate/loop in piefed this is different compared to lemmy and mbin. This is also true for other formats like animated jxl, webp and avif, etc. It would also be great if there was an option to enable/disable this behaviour in the settings or in low bandwidth mode.

I'll try to take a look at this over the coming week. I recently added support for animated gifs as image posts, so I imagine a similar approach would work for other places. The root issue is that the image library pillow just doesn't have great gif support.

Yep I also want this feature. !balatro@lemm.ee had an animated icon but it doesn't animate on !balatro@piefed.social
