$1500 for 6 months for this level of advertising is very cheap.

[-] finestnothing@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

This is the only kind of advertising that I like

I have put more hours into StS than I have raising my children. I can't wait to see what they come up with.

Mega Crit or your children?

Pffft, Mega Crit, obvs! What are my kids gonna do? Doctor or lawyer? Booooooring!

[-] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 4 points 10 months ago

what if they become game devs using godot to make cool games. have you thought of this

[-] Soundhole@lemm.ee 4 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

I started this thread explaining I've spent more time playing StS than raising my own children, yet you cannot help but try appealing to my parental instincts.

May your unwavering faith in the human spirit continue to inspire us all.

If the children wanted parental attention they should have drafted more frontloaded damage instead of greedpicking scaling.

[-] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 4 points 10 months ago

I don't care about your kids except for you could raise them to build cool games in godot. get to it, we have gaming urges to fill

Yeah, it's an amazing little engine that could. It's getting bigger and bigger. I do wish they'd have better integrations with GD Extensions like cross-compiling to Linux on Windows.

This is great :) I hope this brings more devs to Godot so we can get this great tool to be the best it can be for the GameDev Community!

[-] lethargic_lemming@lemmy.world 12 points 10 months ago

thanks to this post i found the StS community on Lemmy

[-] Bluefruit@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

Oh rad i didn't even think to look for that.

I love sts and this made me like the devs even more. Good on them for taking action.

[-] Elferrerito@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

This is fantastic, I was fearful that once the unity fiasco settled down, the godot funds would shrink, but it seems that it stabilized around the 50k mark
