aka the unreasonably stupid way.
You'd have to be an American to think that the next thing to happen to those drives involved anything other than an axe.
Don't fuck up an axe with a hard drive. Use a hammer, or preferably just a screwdriver (there are neat parts inside).
Probably a lot of the data on those platters is still readable. Magnets are the best way to erase a hard drive.
I understand you didn’t have any data on them, but just to be clear.
