So I got my first server with 8 x 8 TB HGST drives, 2 x 4TB drives and 2 x 2TB Intel NVME P3600 SSD's. On this server, I have proxmox installed and I have no idea what to do to distribute and manage this storage there and what raid I should use for this application. I know truenas and raid exist and I could run it in a VM but I have no idea what to do next. I'm quite overwhelmed by this. Do you guys have any recommendations on what I should, like what raid I should use, how do I allocate all this storage to proxmox and if I should use NAS software to manage this storage?

What's gonna be the workload? I mean, there is caching of course but you could put some most performance-demanding VMs on NVMe drives in ZFS mirror, some slower VMs on 2x4TB drives in mirror and the rest (file, media server on 8x8TB drives in RAIDZ2).
