Why doesn't the video show the soil after the train passed. Also how much soil would be needed to actually derail the train?

A hell of a lot more than that.They essentially created what is done at every single RR crossing in the US using asphalt, but with soil. That's like nothing, and I very strongly doubt that's the first train that has passed over it.

Wait until OP hears about what we did with coins on RR tracks in the 70s. They put up more resistance than that dusting of soil.

I'm all on board with fuck cars, but there's literally 0 things (aside from the cars themselves) to be upset with in OP.

If a train would derail from a bit of compacted earth as shown, it should not be on rails.

You know that trains actually spray sand under their wheels to improve traction for accelerating and breaking?
