That rugby gets pints but football doesn't is frankly undefendable, so here's to Ayr getting it right with this pilot

Maybe I'm being cynical but, the sport of the two chosen to be denied a pint brings questions of classism to mind.

OK I'll defend it.

I rest my case

Whilst a good point. I'll point to the old firm instead

Oh for sure. Rangers v Celtics is probably 99% of the football violence that happens I'm sure, and they don't need beers to get it on.

The difference would be an increase in drunken fights for the rest of the league.

That's a pretty poor case.

Ha, fair enough.

If the start serving White Russians at East End, I'll be happy with that 😁

Just don't piss on the rug

It's not just Ayr United, there are a range of clubs taking part in the trial, according to this article in the Record from a month ago: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/ayrshire/ayr-united-set-open-pop-35381813

Ayr Utd, St Mirren, Dunfermline, Arbroath, Stirling, Partick Thistle, Ross County and Queen of the South

As a Dunfermline fan myself, I really hope so - it's about time football fans stopped being treated like second class citizens.
