Not sure if this is the right sub but thought you guys might have some ideas, basically my situation is:

  • Rented house, so can't punch any ethernet through walls.
  • WiFi router is in Room A. Can't be moved, that's where the fibre comes out.
  • My setup is in Room B, above Room A. WiFi signal is extremely poor.
  • Room A and Room B are on different electrical circuits so powerline extender not an option.
  • There isn't anywhere a WiFi extender would work.

Is there some way to rectify this? Perhaps buying a router to sit in Room A which has extremely strong signal - if so, any recommendations? I am open to spending some money to make it work. In the UK.

Plug in an AP to the router downstairs and flip it upside down.
