What a stupid headline. There are very few things for which you can objectively define 'the world's best'. Especially for a complex thing like a car where different people can have very different requirements.

True, it's best selling, but not even best selling car, but best selling brand.
But then nobody would care to read it, because everybody knows that's BYD.
If they don't they probably aren't interested.
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD surpassed Tesla last year to become the world’s top-selling E.V. brand and is expected to pull even with the world’s biggest carmakers, Toyota and Volkswagen, by 2030.

BYD, which stands for “Build Your Dreams,” is essentially banned from American roads by tariffs, imposed to protect U.S. automakers, that double the price of imported Chinese plug-ins.
Canadians also can't buy Chinese EV's thanks to the 100% tariff the GoC imposed on them. I wish they'd lift it so we can have some affordable EV options.
BYD is anything but a good EV.
