I am asking this question, because there does not seem to be a modern logical solution.

I hear a lot of people say that socialism might solve a lot of problems, but I don't think it has any practicality.

Looking at jobs hiring trends, a lot of businesses are almost stopping their hirings, in favour of investing in automation. Which means 5-10 years down the line, "worker owned" might be closer to fiction.

AI is replacing a lot of jobs now and while the trend that new technologies create jobs, I think that jobs might come after 15-40 years.

Are humanity hopeless?

Same as always: Inform yourself / Vote for the right party / Support others / Contribute / Enjoy life / Lead a modest life / Forgive others / Forgive yourself

That would just be another problem though.

Hey, he specifically asked for a solution to the current world problems. They wouldn't be problems any more.

Question specified the world not humanity

Either way, as potentially the only life forms that will exist in a long time, we're fucked.

That's not going to fix climate change.

Using something like Negative Income Tax?

The reason I am asking is because I had never heard of it being applied in practice, outside experiments and pretty minor payments.

That would be great and thr most equitable option I know of, but I think UBI would have a better chance of being passed because it won't set up haves and have nots to pit against one another in political games.

In the first part you say that socialism - the idea of taking care of people whether or not they produce economically - is not practical.

In the second part you worry that people won’t be able to produce and participate economically.

Why do you feel that way? Have you done any research? What have you learned so far?

In the first part you say that socialism - the idea of taking care of people whether or not they produce economically - is not practical.

No,

Socialism: economic and political philosophy encompassing diverse economic and social systems characterised by social ownership of the means of production, as opposed to private ownership.

In the second part you worry that people won’t be able to produce and participate economically.

Yes, exactly which is based on the current economical reports and analyses, which all are currently saying that the number of new hires are very low, due to all businesses not wanting to hire, reluctance to hire.

Why do you feel that way?

Kindly, read my post.

Have you done any research?

I had search pretty lightly, but I was not able to find any suitable solution.

What have you learned so far?

At my current level of knowledge, I learned that there is not a specific system that I could find and believe in to be better than the current one.

Oh apologies I thought this was a serious discussion.

Have fun

You're gonna have to defend the socialism take with this audience (including me). From my perspective you disregarded a huge set of possible solutions then said "idk how to solve this".

In the other comment you said you haven't done much research. There is a lot of diversity in leftism. I personally lean towards anarcho federalism.

Nothing is truly hopeless. The world is far too complicated to seal any future shut all the way. There will always be routes. (Though it may end up as unlikely as your perfect world materializing instantly due to quantum teleportation)
