I was just listening to the SNAFU podcast about the Viet Nam protesters who broke into the FBI office and stole files. They were never caught, but some of the people involved in that went on to steal draft lists to prevent drafts, since everything was paper back then. Those people were caught, tried with everyone else involved, and not a single guilty verdict was read. Jury nullification.
If Luigi doesn’t get jury nullification, then I’m going to believe someone tampered with that jury.
Why do Americans still fall for believing that law is real? you hear them say shit like "this is unconstitutional!" mf these laws are made to oppress workers and racial minorities while empowering the elites, you're getting no bones thrown at you because of a technicality dog.

They have to read you your rights, as it's not assumed that everyone will know them beforehand. If you aren't ready your rights your testimony can be thrown out in some cases.
No, the rights remain, but police do have some requirements due to policy and procedure.

Police are not required to read your Miranda rights before or during arrest. While some officers may choose to do so, they are only legally obligated to “Mirandize” suspects who are being questioned in custody.
It's a good read overall to get the history of what Miranda Rights are and why people feel so passionately about them. They're basically the 5th and 6th amendments, and reading them to the suspect reminds them that they have specific rights.
I believe you can't get the whole case thrown out, but if the rights were not read and the person has a decent enough lawyer much of the testimony given under duress can be called into question. This can cause issues in a case like this and prosecuting attorneys will have to fight that his testimony is still good. The jury is not going to like it.
