I'm told that despite being spelt "half penny", it's actually meant to be pronounced "hay penny". Which begs the follow-up question: where's the needle?

Did they find it like it appears in the pics? One side looks so clean compared to the other.

Not sure how they found it. I don't think they polished it up at all. I suspect the different condition is probably because of which side was face up and which was down. Not sure which though.

Yeah, they do that. One side tends to corrode more than the other, usually the face
