It's great. Don't burn yourself out though - you could do a bit less and it would still be great :)

Rules
βοΈ If you know the artist, please credit them (memes are fine without it, as it can be difficult to find OOP)
π Tag NSFW (no porn, please. Non-sexual nudity is fine)
π« Be respectful of others. It sounds so obvious, but remember you are conversing with another human being
π’ Self promotion is not only allowed, but encouraged. I would love to see your original content
π³οΈ No politics (light-hearted jokes are fine)
π When in doubt, just post. Unless you are deliberately trying, I most likely won't remove your post
I appreciate it. π
Cite authors more often.
If I am certain about authors I do. Unfortunately often I find content from secondary sources, or from collections. Also I can't edit posts at the moment, which makes adding authors later more difficult. This is definitely valid criticism and my answer is not an excuse, because I should do more research. Thanks.
Update: For art I will now only post if I can give credit. For memes I will not bother to reverse image search, feel free to comment if you know who OOP is.
My only feedback is Yes credit authors where possible And I would want the loops to be in a separate community. The very slick geometric seatless loops. Not the human screaming and deforming ones.
That would be a killer adhd/autism friendly experience.
I might tag Datamoshes NSFW in the future, or hide them behind a spoiler, but I wanted to cast as wide of a net as possible with this community, because I find myself thinking "can I post this here?" in other communities and the datamoshes have been a main reason for starting this one. If I removed them, or narrowed the content allowed, there would be nothing unique about this community. Thank you, this has really made me think about a solution that could make everyone happy.
freakin awesome and what an output
i tip my fedore an awe
The stuff here is exactly what I wanted when I signed up. I'm sorry I'm more of a lurker but I do occasionally post and I'll keep this place in mind if I find something surreal that hasn't been shared yet.
Thanks :)
Love it. No complaints although I agree about with the attribution discussions that seem understood and agreed now.
As for preferences: the only posts I donβt like (on any community/platform) are extremely fast moving posts like the recent bagel one. I suspect Iβm susceptible to strobe effects.
Thank you for bringing something very new and exciting to the platform!
Thank you, I appreciate it. I am still not sure about what to do with posts that may trigger especially photosensitive people. Marking NSFW just blurs them for some people and also hides them completely for others. Maybe I will put them behind a spoiler inside a text post, but I am not sure yet, as most will just scroll past it. If anyone has a better idea please let me know.
I appreciate the dilemma. It doesnβt sound like there is a good solution, from what youβre saying. My client (m.lemmy.world) might have an option to disable animations too, actually.
Edit: it does, but then none of the animations will play. If I choose to make playback βopt inβ I still have no way of knowing which animations will turn out to be problematic for me. Hmmβ¦.
