Husband seemed to be coming down with the cough part last night but is miraculously unaffected today so looks like a similar situation for us. Trust me to be the unlucky one! You're talking in past tense anyway so sounds like you're both over it in time for a nice weekend, make the most of it for those of us who can't π₯²

If it helps any my wife is a bit of a trekkie. She loved the detectorist. We had this flu prob mid Sept, so quite a while back. Hope it clears soon for you two.

hmm I never tested for covid. It just didn't feel like it was that to me. I rewatched series 1 after the suggestion. I still enjoyed it. The plonk comment must be series two. One of the best comedy deliveries I have seen in a while.

Turns out I had no idea what covid feels like, and what it's felt like for me is a totally different thing every day. What an exciting rollercoaster of a week! Oh no wait I didn't mean exciting. I meant bloody awful π©

... Seriously, mate, get tested for covid. And if it is covid, do your best to get some paxlovid. Despite what many people seem to think, it's still naught to mess around with.
Yeah I'll keep testing just in case, I know it doesn't always show up straight away. Never actually caught Covid (to my knowledge, of course) due to being careful and also an antisocial hermit, so would be sad to see the end of such an excellent streak, but such is life.

Aw thanks for checking in on me! Feeling much better today, thankfully.
It did turn out to be Covid, but didn't test positive until yesterday which was like 4.5 days after I started feeling rough. Apparently the random cycle of different main symptoms every day is something a lot of other people have with it too, but I had no idea until it happened to me.
First time I've had it, been really careful but my luck was bound to run out eventually. So much for the streak!
Anyway lots of last week including apparently making this post seems like a weird barely-remembered dream. But I slept for most of the weekend and we're into "this just seems like a particularly bad cold" territory as of this morning, so all good.
Oh, I'm really glad you're doing okay! Don't push yourself to do too much too soon - that might contribute to long covid to some degree. I hope you're doing recovered soon :)
Yeah I'm friends with a couple of nurses and they've both advised to basically rest, rest and rest some more and then when I feel like I'm truly fine and am milking it and should be ashamed of myself...rest a couple days more because better safe than sorry.
So tbh I'm gonna trust the professionals on that. Not messing around with this stuff, it really has hit me hard.
On the bright side my tea tastes a lot more normal today. It's been a struggle, with weird tasting tea π
