Hey fellow Reddit boycotter. I hear ya, cuz I really miss the CFL community over there - it's really the only thing I miss about that site. This community is small, but growing - while I'm here, let's go Redblacks ❤️🖤
Canadian Football League

As an Edmonton fan: Edmonton sucks.
I get your frustration. I'm sorry. We're trying. This year's a good year to be a Riders fan. Please consider commenting in the weekly discussion forums, even if it's "Go Riders!" or "They got this match versus X next week." There's typically just 2 of us, so even if you're saying "Go Riders," you're making an appreciable difference.
The AI image is only because this group needs pictures, dear admin may I suggest you change that?
I believe you're saying that you couldn't publish a post in this community unless you included an image as part of the post. That's odd. I post a weekly discussion thread here without an image, and I've never run into trouble. I use the web version of Lemmy. I know you're a savvy Lemmy user. This isn't something you've encountered in other communities is it? And you believe this is a moderator-adjustable community setting?
Please consider modifying your post to remove the AI image. There is a community rule about it. My first priority is to ensure there's no unwanted technical issue with this community (users not being able to post without an image). Second priority is no AI content.
Most groups do not require pictures; a few do, this being one.
I have tried to delete it in the app Voyager and on the web ui.
Appreciate it, I'll try to get that fixed. Thanks and Go Riders!
We do try to maintain some conversation about the week's games in the weekly thread. There's not a lot of us, but quality > quantity.
fwiw I'm in a small american college football community. If there were posts about games, I'd probably join a few. I love things like the rouge and the onside punt but I don't know enough about finding games to be an active fan of the sport
In the US, most games are available on the leagues kind-of-shitty-but-at-least-it's-free streaming service, and a handful are on the CBS Sports Network.
All I can say is Go Lions!
All I can say is you are wrong and Go Riders!
Go 'ders!
