Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

[–] TotalCourage007@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Bet you he asked good 'ole grok how to appear dominant over Epstein files.

[–] MangioneDontMiss@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 month ago

Sight lines.

"What are you trying to build?" one reporter shouted.

"Missiles," Trump responded, presumably joking. "Nuclear missiles," he repeated while making the gesture of a rocket launching.

Trump then ignored a question on Gaza and walked back inside.

If someone wrote this into a script, they would have gotten fired

[–] thehowlingnorth@lemmy.ca 43 points 1 month ago

presumably joking

This sane washing is gonna get us all killed.

... This is one of those comments where I'm sure it's a joke until the last bit, and now I am obligated to actually open the article and find out.

E: yep, there it is at the very bottom.

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 46 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Totally unrelated. But I just learned that the longest sniper kill ever recorded was 3.5 kilometers....

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 18 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Careful, gonna get yourself on a list..

[–] WhatGodIsMadeOf@feddit.org 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Bruz we are all on a list.

[–] CIA_chatbot@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

He’ll even I’m on a list

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 month ago

I'm probably already on several.

[–] 0ops@piefed.zip 2 points 1 month ago

I know they don't need directions to the Whitehouse

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Falling off a roof works too.

[–] Envy@fedia.io 36 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Thats cool. Release the Epstein files.

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 1 month ago

Turns out, the files are not on the roof. I would check the bathrooms and pool closets.

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 19 points 1 month ago

What a splendid day to be on the roof, Mr. President. Now, pray tell, what's your involvement on the Epstein files?

[–] WhatGodIsMadeOf@feddit.org 18 points 1 month ago

Omg he's going to commit.

WTF? Yeah sure, I want to see receipts.

Trump said it was "Just more ways to spend my money," adding "Just more ways to spend my money for the country."

"Anything I do is financed by me," he stressed.

[–] kayzeekayzee@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 1 month ago

Reminds me of a film called The Magnificent Three

[–] Bonus@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

Lookin for Jimmy and Willy's spent roaches. Or some Obama solar panels to tear off in spite.

[–] Unpigged@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 month ago

Ok that's getting out of hand. How comes an old dumb fart's roof walk is in the news.

[–] redsand@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Seems like another addition he thinks pairs with a ballroom.

[–] icerunner_origin@startrek.website 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He's planning out where to build the new McDonalds concession

[–] redsand@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 month ago

A food court is genuinely possible.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 7 points 1 month ago

to bad he did not take the fast way down.

[–] floquant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 month ago

Reaching fascism via dementia, just incredible

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

The only thing thats predictable about Trump is he will lie, and be unpredictable. Some days I legit think he's literally lost his mind, just a husk of a person being weekend at bernies strode around with strings on his hands..

[–] DrFistington@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Probably trying to fight off the flak he gets because he can't ever be in public without hiding behind bullet proof glass. 'See I wandered on the roof like a fucking lunatic, unnanouced for 3 minutes, in such a big, brave, boy!'

In all seriousness though, he must be trying to get killed. Such an easy shot.
