That's actually so sad to see...terminal liberalism :/ . I never witnessed this amongst people i lived with in Indonesia. The impression that I got was that Sukarno's coup is downplayed, but he's still highly respected by most Indonesians. High likelihood you would get beat if you were saying this stuff in public in Indonesia.
I'm in a terrible spot politically where I don't really have anyone I support because my beliefs are all over the place now.
I'm super confused by Suzerain. In the early game, I managed to stabilize Agnland and all "economies are stabilized" according to multiple city reports. Then I built rural hospitals, schools, raised funding for them and then am running a huge deficit that is being alleviated by United Contana money. All of this, with nationalization, is actually lowering unemployment significantly with an increased public workforce from these state megaprojects.
great depression like even with a stimulus? The whole point of the stimulus, with lowered unemployment as well as increased worker rights should at the very fucking least avoid a god damn depression. What the fuck happened? Did everyone just quit? "Aw shit, I got better working rights, my family got jobs and my city has funding again...better quit my job!" How the fuck does that make sense?
The game screeches about GDP at me too, which doesn't mean a fucking thing compared to actual production which has multiple novel industries with has been significantly invested into with state control which was the whole reason behind the lowered unemployment in the first place. I gotta make the magic number go up!
The game is very fun but am halfway through and incredibly frustrated at the games random railroad attempts. Apparently my popularity is low after all this and the national front and liberal parties just continue to screech with Arcasian puppeting them.
With how this game is treating it, I'm about to just say fuck it, declare a coup and shoot the whole supreme court in Sordland and hang Tarquin upside down in the capitol square. Why can't I just do that? I'm sure this will fix our GDP problem, Gus. Also, full nationalization of HOS.

This is completely off topic of anything but I figured I'd share for a laugh. Reading about drug experiences on Erowid and I want to be very clear I am not encouraging anyone to absolutely fry their shit with experiences like these. However, the stories people tell are pretty entertaining to say the least.

So the skinny is that this dude had his buddy call him devastated over a break-up that occurred. So, like any good friend they showed up to support them, with beverages and substances of their own. The part that's funny to me is that this guy proceeds to chemically obliterate himself in front of his grieving buddy while after writing this comedic timeline of events.
This fella is 145 pounds and had drank 1-6 beers (entire six-pack between two), did bumps of around 150mg of ketamine and had ingested an unknown amount of vaporized DMT with a designer version of ketamine as well.

It all started when a buddy of mine called me, very emotional as he had just broken up with his girlfriend. He said he wanted to get high and asked me if I had any Ketamine.
"Sorta" I replied. "Come over".

We were wobbly, but we never got too far out, which was my plan. I walked his wobbly butt to his house, and wobbled back to my own.

I basically became aware that I was a single point of consciousness In the center of a massive toroid structure. With trillions of colored lines that were constantly moving. I could see in all directions simultaneously. I spent easily 10,000 years in a state of complete nirvana before remembering a fragment of my original existence.
As soon as I had a memory of it, I started to slide down one of the millions of colored lines of the toroid. As I moved out of the center of the toroid, I watched all the other lines moving in a different way and they started turning into these waveforms and then into water. Which I realized was the ocean. I could hear it as well. Then I remembered someone I love (Ally!), and then I remembered who I was, and that I can control my body with my mind so I opened my eyes to find myself in my little house 1000s of miles away. I've never had such an experience and I've had several breakthrough experiences with 5-MeO-DMT. I feel like I left a part of myself in that place, so I hopefully can go back. I almost felt like I was a different person, than the one who entered the field.
