Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

The problem with electric vans is that of capacity, in the UK (and Europe?) it's 3.5t before you need to think about drivers hours and lots of paperwork, for business. It just looks at mercedes esprinter, with the smaller battery to keep it under 3.5t you are looking at a payload between 495kg and 651kg depending on spec. That is absolutely nothing if you are shifting anything other than Amazon parcels around. But arguably that's the best use of an electric van, slow speeds with stop start. Unless the law changes on vehicle weights there will still be a large demand for diesel vans

the results show that the majority (69 percent) of respondents without an electric van on their fleets do expect to purchase one in 2025

This number seems almost too high to be true.

But maybe this also means that in a fleet of 100 cars, they buy one electric van? Hard to tell.
