Justified shooting framed poorly by stuff.
They are responding to a call where someone is threatening to use a knife of course they are going to be armed. After the man is shot for advancing on police with a knife the lady picks up the knife and advances on police and is shot after multiple warnings. Stuff didnt mention that part.
Yeah, that has to be one of the stupidest things I've seen from a journalist.
The information they had was a man threatening a woman with a knife, obviously they will be armed when a deadly weapon is involved.
I don't think I'll ever understand the thought process behind women defending abusive partners either, especially in a situation as extreme as this.
Stuff seems to have becoming a click bait "journalism" site nowadays.
Stuff is still my main way for keeping up with NZ news but I hate them so much. Paywalls on articles and withholding of key information to frame stories really annoys me.
