Gems of Internet Art
High quality, not necessarily high effort.
Share your favorite artsy content from the internet. Anything good enough to download to your device is a good rule of thumb.
Weird, surreal and abstract art, as well as works related to internet culture are preferred, but not a must.
I recommend checking out the stuff that has already been posted to get a feel for this community first.
Enjoy.
⚠️ Disclaimers
Strobing / flashing lights warning: Not recommended for people with photosensitive epilepsy.
For Artists: If you don't want your work to be posted here, please send me a message. I will, of course, remove all of your art and make note to not post it in the future, either. Best case scenario would be promotion of your work and entertainment for everyone else. I do not have any financial incentive in this.
Rules
TLDR: Give credit, if possible. Tag NSFW - no porn, no gore. Strive to be the opposite of Twitter.
✏️ 1) If you know the artist, credit them.
🔞 2) Tag NSFW. No extreme, or even real gore & no porn. Non-sexual nudity is fine.
🫂 3) Be respectful of others. It sounds so obvious, but remember you are conversing with another human being and imagine you were talking to them in person.
🗳️ 4) No politics, no hostile debates (light-hearted jokes and respectful discussions are fine).
ℹ️ If you are wondering: I don't give a shit about swearing, except racial slurs and mean spirited insults to others.
Thanks.
Had the same vibe!
Probably made with the same rendering technology
I preferred pipes
This loops at the exact moment it starts to become satisfying
I had this on win95 pc I think. The nostalgia hit hard.
I wonder how many lines of C this was
A million years ago, there was a website that had a maze like this where the doors led you to various games. One of them was a PvP Pokemon-inspired creature battling game that I remember actually being pretty fun.
If this rings a bell to anybody and they recall a name, let me know. One of those cool experiments from when people were imagining different ways the web browsing experience could work.
