What is weird to me is that it's relatively easy to talk to people in a country that your country is hostile to or even at war with. I mean, people generally don't, but they could.

They should have a random function .... you set up a time during the day where you will accept random video calls from anyone in the world.

Like everything neat that's ever been made on the internet ... it would be fun for about a month before some fucked up shit would start happening (probably sooner)

Isn't that basically just Omegle/Chatroulette?

Not what you're talking about, but reminded me of this: https://diewithme.online/

It's an app that you can only use when your phone is at 5% battery or less, and allows you to chat with other users who also only have 5% battery left.

Could probably use this to build what you're talking about.

Sounds like a conspiracy by big lithium to sell more batteries. :P

But in all seriousness, consistently deep cycling a Li-ion battery is bad for longevity.

If you plan on keeping your phone for more than two years, try to keep your charge between ~30 and 80% whenever conveniently possible. Or simply enable the "battery protection" feature on your device (if it has such a setting, most newer Android devices should have it). I almost never let my battery go below 30%.

I'd also recommend installing AccuBattery so that you can monitor changes to your battery's capacity over time and see real-world results for your charging habits.
