In a March 2025 interview with business writer Chad Silverstein, Vaughan made it clear how he views himself: "we stand at a unique moment where AI could either widen inequality dramatically or become the greatest leveling force in economic history. The choice is ours, and I believe business leaders have a profound responsibility to ensure we choose wisely."

he chose inequality

This is the AI Psychosis we should be worried about. Not incels falling in love with their PCs.

[–] wander1236@sh.itjust.works 30 points 2 weeks ago

We should probably be worried about both

"AI psychosis" should officially become a diagnosis

The venn diagram of people profiting from AI and people who strongly support AI is the Pam office space meme.

Eric Vaughan, CEO of a $26 million software firm called IgniteTech

Just so you know who to avoid without reading the article.

it's fitting when people get fired at IgniteTech.

Wow, I was looking at their product just yesterday for an evaluation. Immediately got a bad feeling by their website, almost as if everyone working on this puts in as little care as possible. And now it makes total sense.

The old saying, the fish rots from the head, certainly applies here. Well I'm not going to recommend this platform, that is for certain.

Yep. Companies are this crazy. I got eliminated from a job interview because I said I'm meh about AI. In retrospect, I'm glad I didn't get that job. A friend of mine later told me that the company tracks everyone's AI usage and that it's part of their performance review. The more you use AI, the higher you'll be rated. 🤮

Connect two LLM to each other in another window. You can focus on your job and still get 100% rating

Means they are using Jellyfish and tracking story points and PRs too.

I am going to enjoy this dude's reaction when AI bubble pops. And it is a matter of when and not if.

Didn't threaten me with a good time.

I need this to happen for the pure schadenfreude

Engrossing read, thank you

If you want another read in the same vein https://fintechdystopia.com/. This one doesn’t have a paywall, though Ed’s material is well worth the support.

I mean that CEO did all those employees a favor.

Does "again" mean "80% out of 20% of those who left"? I need it for a graph
