C'mon. I don't think thats quite fair. During the pandemic DeWine was about the only right wing politician who did the right thing. He mandated business closures. He did everything he could to be a good hearted person in a position of power. He sent hospitals shipments of toilet paper during that 2 month shortage.
In short, he has a good heart.
Now, all that being said, there's a reason the left hate him AND the right hate him.
The left hate him because he's pro-life, outlawed abortion, lets religion lead his path. Is generally corrupt.
The right hate him because he spent years helping those in need, rather than just the in-groups. He helped EVERYBODY.
Soooooo, yeah. DeWine is still a piece of shit for his beliefs and policies. But I don't think it's fair to call him heartless.
Do you live in Ohio? He's just better about hiding his right wing bullshit.
Look up the energy scandal. He definitely was involved. He's as corrupt and terrible as the rest but just hides behind grandpa energy.
He didn't do shit for COVID. He just sat back and let Amy Acton take the heat for doing the right thing.
Don't forget about his connections to the SB5 fiasco that haven't been fully explored. Hes more than generally corrupt.
What he really means is "won't someone think of the owners?"
