“The Postmortal” by Drew Magary is worth a read.

This reminds me Ash Ketchum. Forever an 11yo.

I never see it discussed, but in Pokemon 4Ever; Ash and Pikachu swim in the Lake of Life, which is essentially a fountain of youth. Misty dips her legs in, and Team Rocket falls in at one point. Brock was also there, but we never see him go in.

While this isn't established as an official explanation, I choose to believe that's why none of them ever age.

Just like Ysabell from Mort.

But seriously, this kind of thing does make many think.

Is a person's or group's age purely physical, or is it the time one/many has been alive and all the experiences they have had?

So, say physically someone/somemany could stop physically aging once they reach a certain age, are they actually that age after ten years has gone by or are they still actually the physical age that they stopped at? Interesting question.

This is the very line of questioning that causes like 99% of reincarnation stories to be called child porn. Since people generally only consider physical appearance since reality does not offer a way to desynchronize, biological and chronological age.
