When eating bucatini I find I can't slurp the noodles like with spaghetti or fettuccine. The noodles are just a little too big and two or more noodles together allow an air-gap that causes suction loss.

I realize it's impolite to slurp your pasta. Still...Not my favorite noodle.

Depends on what country you're in. I believe that in Japan it is extremely polite to slurp anything.

Oh hell yeah, I love slurping my noodles and/or soup even more when eating the appropriate cuisine.

I was just mentioning it before someone says you can't judge bucatini on its slurpability because you're not supposed to slurp it...

No, the hole in the center makes it a tube pasta like ziti or rigatoni.

Ah, tube pasta instead of tube pasta

Aye she do be formed the same way, but she’s much thicker. Not a spaghetti but I will allow it.

topologically it's a donut

No. It's horrible. You can't twirl it on the fork, and you can't suck it in.

Bucatini is such a great noodle, the world needs to see more of it.
