It appears to be a spaghetti bolognese but I am not able to recall specifically.

A neighbor of mine once offered me spaghetti she had made. She was an elderly Italian lady and I happily agreed knowing she made great food.

Her daughter delivered the food in a giant plastic bag with all the pasta and sauce mixed in.

My wife was really turned off by the offer and said it was weird.

I grew up poor and I didn't think anything of it ... the food was great!!

It could be the amorphous shape that it takes in the bag that causes concerns.

After looking at that spaghetti, I think you may have fucked up

I know… we can only look back on the past and wonder “what if”. Live your life to the fullest.

Was he asking too much? What was the deal?

I think he requested $20 CAD for this gastronomic experience. It was too rich for my blood back then. $20 had a lot more pull.

Clearly there was something wrong with the man. I don't even see a hard boiled egg.

A hard boiled egg really would have increased his value offering in my opinion.

That was a golden year for spaghetti, brings back memories.

I couldn't agree more. In hindsight I regret not taking the young man up on his offer. Things could have been really different.

I had a friend who filled up his pool with spaghetti around that time. He didn't have enough sauce to go all the way but for a moment our little town was famous.

He ended up writing a book about it.

I want to read this book.

I believe the going rate at the time was $20 CAD. A steep price for me at that time.
