I asked xyphyn about post flairs, and he said post flairs aren't in the piefed API, how would one implement post flairs in their frontends for piefed?

Create a new issue at https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/issues/new and use "api:" at the start of the title.

I'll do it this time :)

Also logged in there but it's not showing this or ~~all~~ some of the other comments unfortunately

The API has returned no comments error:

Edit: I've logged out and back in. Same behaviour. I'm sure it's something that will get worked out in due time. No biggie. Glad to have more options arriving!

Looks like the comments are collapsed and that error is specifically when trying to expand. Just logged back out and in over on my piefed account again. More comments are visible than were there last time and I see the arrow to expand comments.

Hmm working for me maybe logout and back in?

Yeah I'm not sure if this is my fault with an API call or if the API is just acting goofy (it's in alpha). It's quite inconsistent

Rather than using comment/list?post_id=1238978, try using post/replies.

It's vastly superior, much easier to injest as the data structure is nested rather than one big list.

FYI your login form has a minimum length of 10 characters which stopped me from logging in until I used the web dev tools to hax0r the HTML

Works, as they say, for me.

Inconsistencies are hard to debug. It's a likely as anything that piefed.social was having a little rest at that particular moment.

phtn.app is always in sync with the main branch

That's really great!

But until some app starts supporting feeds, PWA is still irreplaceable for me

[–] Xylight@feddit.online 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

AFAIK the Piefed API doesn't expose feeds yet. I will add them once they're in there.

[–] INeedMana@piefed.zip 6 points 5 days ago

I think it's coming

Thank you for your work, I did not mean to be entitled. PWA has it's own set of shortcomings, I'm just eagerly waiting for an app to support feeds
