The article is weirdly phrased: one survived.
Her husband's parents Don and Gail Patterson, and his mum's sister Heather Wilkinson died. His mum's sister's husband Ian Wilkinson got very sick but survived.
The husband, Simon Patterson, was also invited to the dinner but chose not to attend because he feared she was trying to poison him and even suspected she had previously tried to do so. The prosecutors considered bringing charges for his attempted murder as well, but decided against it because it muddied the case.
