I haven't been listening to much new, lately, just throwing the mp3 player on shuffle...
I DID get a new (to me) pair of headphones, though, which has been fun. I had always wanted to try Grado headphones, but ended up with several other pairs over the years (currently a Beyerdynamic DT990 open-back are my main pair for home listening)... Well, I found a like-new pair of Grado SR60i at SAVERS of all places, for $6 in one of those little baggies in the electronics section. Great score! They do indeed sound as interesting as people say. Paired with the recent acquisition of a music player that can play FLAC, music has been sounding really good. I particularly enjoyed listening to Thank You Scientist with the SR60's. Their music has so many tiny little details that get lost sometimes. The tight, detailed high's from the Grado's are great for all the brass and violin. A song came up on shuffle and I ended up just playing through 2 whole albums.
