Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck during an event at Utah Valley University, according to eyewitness accounts and reports from Deseret News.

A suspect has been apprehended, and a shelter-in-place order was issued for the campus, as confirmed by UVU campus police and a UVU alert sent to students.

Witnesses reported seeing blood after the shooting, and Kirk was rushed to a local hospital.

U.S. Senator Mike Lee stated he is closely monitoring the situation and called for prayers for Kirk and the attendees.

He was reporting answering or had just answered a question about gun violence. Someone asked if he knew how many shootings happen each day and he had some shit head "including gangs?" comment as part of his answer.
