In short:

A tornado has been seen in central NSW as wild weather hits parts of the state.

Wet conditions in the Illawarra are being blamed for an explosion at the steelworks and a group of bushwalkers were rescued from the national park.

What's next?

Severe weather is likely in some areas and is likely to continue through the night.

It's the dry and extreme winds that are gonna ream us. Hopefully it's a wet summer this year.
