I think they think 'bear' is a term used outside of sexual contexts.
ok then who is a dollar bear? Its not bear as in holding weight as the rest of the sentence make less sense. And the market bear is not used in this way.
A bear market is a financial term for a market in decline. The opposite is called a bull market.
I am aware, thats why it doesnt make sense in this context, you cant call it a bears market, and the dollar bearing weight also make zero sense. Bears only makes sense if you are talking about the animal or the gay subculture.
A bear is when the economy goes down on you. When it doesn't that's bull
