Gunn makes a slightly snarky comment online.

Press: SLAMS! EVISCERATES! THUNDERS! ANNIHILATES! DECIMATES!

I keep seeing James Gunn this and James Gunn that in connection with Batman. I thought that was great, a grand old SF writer still cranking out work and cashing in on visual media products like GRRM did. But nope. Different James Gunn. No prob, but oh well.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_E._Gunn (1923–2020, RIP), SF writer. Yeah I knew he must be old, but I didn't realize that old.

I still always see James Gunn and think Tim Gunn first (spouse loved Project Runway, so it was the first Gunn name stuck in my head) and always have a brief moment of thinking things like Tim Gunn in his deep voice saying "It just seems a little costume-y, Bruce. What if you just had a nice satin drape off the shoulder instead?"

There was also Elston Gunnn (three n's). Heh.

I've recently been rewatching an animated misfit team up show written by Gunn (1966 vintage) called Creature Commandos. I recommend it of you're into that sort of thing. Most of his stuff I've enjoyed has a great but unconventional soundtrack and CC is no exception!

I gave it a pass because DC, but then I saw Gunn and Tudyk in the credits and watched a few episodes. Not life changing so far but worthy of a sensible chuckle.

Thanks! I'm not much of a movie viewer though.
