Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

i thought he was pulled because the guy that Trump appointed to the FCC called up ABC and threatened them?

You got a screenshot so I don’t have to visit that god awful cesspool of a site? I mean honestly who reads Variety? /s

But for real I’d prefer not to open that first link.

I guess Taco was one of those people that liked Leno? I always found his show rather bland, but TBF he started around the time before DVRs and I didn't watch him very much. My impression is that he was definitely of the bothsiderist stripe in public, and probably, in private, voting Republican.

Kimmel's show is/was very, very funny.

Appreciate you!

Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined

Pffftttttahahahahahahahaha

Imagine if Greg fucking Gutfeld and Rob Schneider were the best you've got. How embarrassing.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

I think Google fears Taco turning on them, too, given that the first four news items under the US tab on news.google.com are about Charlie Nazi Kirk:

Axios House Democrats fume about vote to honor Charlie Kirk: "We're being totally set up" 5 hours ago By Andrew Solender

The New York Times A Note, a Gun and a Mother’s Conscience Led to an Arrest in Kirk’s Killing Yesterday

USA Today Charlie Kirk's public memorial service: Date, location, speakers, more 1 hour ago By Amaris Encinas

ABC News Charlie Kirk shooting suspect's conditions for surrender had to be 'gentle': Sheriff 16 hours ago By Megan Forrester

It's been a fucking week, JFC, move on already. Most people didn't even know who this POS even was...

Way, way, way down....scrolling down many pages...are some stories about Epstein.

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 21 points 3 days ago (2 children)

But… Kimmel didn’t make any Kirk comments, did he? I thought he only talked about the federal government’s reaction?

[–] cyrano@lemmy.dbzer0.com 39 points 3 days ago (2 children)

the offensive comments:

We had some new lows over the weekend, with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,

full monologue

That's literally all he said? Are you fucking serious? He's losing the show, everyone is losing their minds, and he's being forced to donate to turning point USA over that!?

[–] BassTurd@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago

He's not forced to make a donation, but if he wants to maybe have a chance to keep the show, it's heavily encouraged. I'd sooner kill myself before donating to those cunts. Being loaded and walking away from an irreparable relationship I think would be an easy choice, albeit one that should have to be made.

Exactly when are y'all in America going to wake up to the fact you are living under Fascism? What will it take? The cancelling of the mid terms next year?

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

For the majority of us, we aren't going to ever wake up to it until it's literally dragging their neighbors out of their houses for wrongthink. We have a terminal case of "it can't happen here" and a media ecosystem entirely owned by billionaire right wingers. We'll be gaslit into believing anyone speaking out is just exaggerating and fanning the flames of political violence.

I have absolutely no faith whatsoever that we come out of this without first having to go through a God knows how long brutal dictatorship.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

When did we become fascist? Was it when Trump was first elected and stormed the capital with his Magtards.

Maybe it was when Bush used Islamophobia and lies to attack Iraq.

Perhaps it was when Regan deregulated the banking industry and stopped taxing the rich.

I think it was when the US toppled 70+ Democratic countries and installed fascist dictators during the Cold War.

Oh I know, it was the during red scare when the government purged all the leftists.

No no, it was the civil war when we pit brother against brother in a war because the wealthy couldn't decide who was in charge.

Actually, it was the after the US and Mexico war when congressmen decided we couldn't poison our blood by creating US states out of Mexico.

I will bet it was when we broke treaty after treaty with the Native Americans engaging in the largest genocide in American history.

Oh gosh, of course it was when we allowed the first standing army to exist!

You can't forget when the founding fathers used terrorism and propaganda to take control of the colonies for their financial benefit.

Well gosh, it looks like we were always fascist fucks after all.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago

I suspect there are some who will finally take things seriously when tv shows they like are affected

[–] Jumbie@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He’s being forced to donate to what now?

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Turning point USA is Kirks abomination that travels the country getting college students to become conservative.

[–] Jumbie@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

I’m aware of that Nazi recruitment group. I’m just amazed that Kimmel is being “forced to donate” to it.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 days ago

He's not. They're making it a condition though if he ever wants to come back or whatever.

I'll be really disappointed if he capitulates.

[–] Veedem@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

And that’s not about Kirk. It’s all bullshit and being force fed to us.

An American TV host. I recognize his picture, but that's about all I know about him.
