He continued, “Why would they want someone back who does so poorly, who’s not funny, and who puts the Network in jeopardy by playing 99% positive Democrat GARBAGE. He is yet another arm of the DNC and, to the best of my knowledge, that would be a major Illegal Campaign Contribution. I think we’re going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers! Let Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad Ratings.”

Release the Trump/Epstein files

[–] kadaverin0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 30 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I'm so fucking sick of looking at him and listening to his gaped asshole of a mouth spreading ignorance and lies.

[–] clashorcrashman@lemmy.zip 8 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

They say he smells like a gaped asshole too

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 4 points 17 hours ago

Because his actual asshole has been made so loose by Putin fucking him, that he's incontinent and constsntly has shit in his diaper.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 34 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

He should be sued for defying the first amendment

[–] clashorcrashman@lemmy.zip 7 points 17 hours ago

He should be sued for making us listen to his stupid bullshit all the time.

[–] bampop@lemmy.world 8 points 19 hours ago

You spelt decapitated wrong.

[–] bhamlin@lemmy.world 3 points 19 hours ago

I think you mean "disposed"

[–] Voroxpete@sh.itjust.works 66 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I mean, why wouldn't he? The last time he sued them, he ended up $16 million richer. The thing about stupid people is they generally learn by behavioural conditioning more than anything else. Rat push button, rat get reward, so rat push button again.

ABC thought they were buying safety for a mere $16 million, which was pocket change to them. In reality, all they did was tell Trump where the treats can be found. Now he's gonna be like a dog that found a cookie in the couch cushions one time, and so now goes rooting around in there every time he can because there might be another one.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago

This is the most apt description of Trump and this situation I have ever seen.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 10 points 1 day ago (2 children)

ABC thought they were buying safety for a mere $16 million,

And we all said at the time, that's not how blackmail works. Once they've gotten money out of you, you can count on them coming back for more.

Your dog analogy reminded me of a story I once heard, about a guy walking his dog. One day, his dog found a package of pork chops that were inexplicably hidden under a bush. For that dog, it was literally like finding buried treasure. It made such an impact on him, that he checked under that bush on every wall, for YEARS.

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

is this what you're thinking of?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 12 hours ago

No, it was definitely pork chops.

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 2 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago)

Man, if only the TV network, ABC, had ever made any type of story related to Blackmail. I bet if they had made some sort of Soap Opera type program, they may have had an inkling how that may go. Alas.

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I seriously think we need an organized movement to respond to him universally with "Shut the hell up, asshole."

[–] Olhonestjim@lemmy.world 21 points 23 hours ago

Shut the fuck up Donny.

[–] JustTheWind@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

Do whatever you like in a private capacity you diaper wearing taco. Threaten to use a government agency, that's a technical foul. Back to the first amendment line.

[–] Fusselwurm@feddit.org 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

once you have paid him the Danegeld / You never get rid of the Dane

lol. lmao

[–] Chr0nos1@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He needs to be careful with that rhetoric, or they will use it against him. They could say that Fox News is an extension of the RNC, and just simply list all of the people he's hired that are former Fox News people. I'm fairly certain he's the dumbest president we've had, even more so than Bush Jr.

[–] Soggy@lemmy.world 5 points 22 hours ago

W pretended to be dumber than he was to great effect.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 7 points 1 day ago

IKR? They operate the Conservative Propaganda Machine, which lies so much that it is responsible for the deaths of thousands, perhaps millions of people, and he thinks he can sue a major network because a comedian told a joke.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Donald Trump threatens to sue over lots of things. Let's see if he actually does, as this will be a clear cut violation of the 1st Amendment & a will allow ABC to recoup that $16m + more.

IRC, the merger has gone thru, so they no longer have to pretend to give a shit about Trumppy's widdle fee-fees.

[–] SoloCritical@lemmy.world 27 points 1 day ago

What a snowflake lol

[–] chemical_cutthroat@lemmy.world 114 points 1 day ago (4 children)

It's shit like this that the lawyers were waiting for. The ape was subtle enough with the threats last time that the government couldn't be implicated in Kimmel's termination. This is definitive. This is blatant government censorship and a violation of the first amendment.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

It's shit like this that the lawyers were waiting for.

I always thought it was unrealistic that Charlie Brown would keep trying to kick the football. "Surely" I thought to myself "a real person would have learned their lesson long ago that it's not going to happen."

And here we are with people somehow still thinking "ah yes, this time the football will be kicked!"

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 18 points 1 day ago

£50 says nothing happens and he gets away with it

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 43 points 1 day ago

Yeah, Legal Eagle covered this. Check out their channel on https://nebula.tv/

In short, ABC and Disney absolutely have standing to sue the government over this. If they want to.

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 28 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Exactly. There are no grounds for this. Sue for what?

I dont think Donny would be my go to subject matter expert on campaign finance laws

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 58 points 1 day ago (3 children)

And not that it matters in the world of hypocrisy, but fox news might as well be the Republican News Network...

Please do. Discovery will be a bitch.

Edit: Do not try to placate fascists and/or bullies. They always come back for more. ABC marked themselves as weak and will have to fight 10x as hard to get this to stop. If they don't, they will literally give Trump everything, and he will want more.

[–] televisionhead@lemmy.blahaj.zone 22 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I like seeing him whine and get upset. 🥤🍿

[–] Ironfist79@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Why isn't this orange fool in prison yet?

Why does Brazil have to school the United States on how a mature functioning constitutional democracy works?

[–] Thteven@lemmy.world 67 points 1 day ago

Kimmel should do nothing but Epstein jokes, Trump will clam up real quick.

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 21 points 1 day ago

Let’s sue Turning Point USA for continuing to push Charlie Kirk talking points since it’s a major illegal campaign contribution to the Republican Party! Not only is money speech, but speech is money now!
