Rule 1: Be Civil, Not SinisterTreat others like fellow employees, not enemies in the breakroom.

  • No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
  • No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
  • Respect people’s time and space. We’re here to laugh, not to loathe

Rule 2: No Prohibited PostageSome packages are simply undeliverable. That means:

  • No spam or scams
  • No porn or sexually explicit content
  • No illegal content
  • NSFW content must be properly tagged

He probably doesn't think the military respects him. I can't imagine why. Pulling this stunt will not help.

Kinda wish the generals would coup his ass

We've had first pointless Trump appreciation parade, aye, but what about second parade?

Hopefully this just speeds up a coup.....

If he announces that he's going to speak remotely or by prerecorded video, no way I'm going to that event if I'm one of the invitees.

It won’t. If we’ve learnt anything from history, it’s that the military almost always sides with the fascist state. They are built to support the status quo, no matter how bad it gets (up to and including internal genocide). They only rebel when their own institution is threatened, which a fascist state explicitly doesn’t do.

There were German leaders who quietly opposed Hitler and Nazism. At least one participated in an assassination attempt. There's a reason the Schtuzstaffel had to be created; tasking the Wehrmacht with creating and operating concentration camps would have probably led to a lot more opposition.

Yeah, and ‘quietly’ is the key word.

If you’re expecting an internal coup, you’ll be waiting a long time. There was no real coup against Hitler. His army never stopped him.

I'm sure Putain arranges a "coup attempt" every so often to keep people in line.

I'm anticipating a consolidation of powers, watch — our 430-ish generals and admirals are going to be getting trimmed up.

If they start showing generals on TV and in ads then we're doomed
