I love the static look, but unless you're making it skintight, all that stuff is going to flop around when you walk and it'll look like crap. And probably be annoying to the wearer.

It's an extreme example and not practical at all. The real idea is to just have a couple of pockets that are useful to the wearer. Like I personally find it annoying to pull a phone out of a side pocket while seated, so if I were to use these pants for practical purposes, I'd put a smartphone pocket on the front of my leg and maybe a pouch or two on the side for random stuff and leave it at that.
Seems like the issue is going to be structural integrity over time. You're either going to need to reinforce it by running straps of strong fabric from the belt line to the places where they are attached, or use really thick material for the pants and just reinforce the actual spots where it's sewn in. Likely using straps will make it look nicer so that stuff in pockets isn't making them get stretched weird, but will be more expensive and making it comfortable will mean adding another layer of material over the straps on the inside. Either way, seems like these would be kind of expensive to make.
Interesting points. I'll wear my prototype pants for a while (without an extreme number of pouches ๐) and see if it becomes an issue. Appreciate the feedback and ideas to fix! ๐
Upvote for the Neuromancer reference.

Hello back problems.
Haha I'm doomed ๐ญ But with just a few pouches, it'd be no different than cargo pants ๐
With a more reserved approach I could see them being useful.
It looks great, but is bad for mobility, for someone like me who likes moving my legs.
I guess such a thing would be a pretty good fit on a backpack.
