"The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet" was finally found last year
the entire band, called FEX, reconvened to celebrate and to shoot a music video ft. Darius (the dude who originally recorded the song off German radio in 1984)
FEX just released their "debut" album, "Skyscraper", ft. their 3 demo-tape songs from the 80s ("Subways of Your Mind", "Heart in Danger", "Taking Hands") plus plenty of unreleased tracks

Honestly, FEX deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. IDC what the rules are, but people went on a 17 year long search for a song based purely on a recording from a German radio station. These guys have one of, if not the most amazing stories ever, and their music is also amazing to boot.
