Damn I had no idea. What is so special about it? Is it federated?

Once it’s out of invite only it’s very likely it’ll surpass mastodon pretty much instantly
Most normies have no idea what BlueSky is and they have no sister apps like Threads has to sling shot adoption.
It will likely be all over the media when it opens though.
It will be federated, but not with activitypub. It looks like they're developing a more comprehensive system for federation
