The water in the top picture has an uncanny resemblance to what one would see in a high resolution photo. Yet it still retains a painterly quality. Mesmerizing.

Outstanding, never heard of this wonderful artist before.

Yeah I've been trying to post only the non mainstream artists. Don't wanna post Rembrandt or Da Vinci etc.

You’re doing good work, subscribing to this community just for your posts.

Should've just made a community on a better instance if I knew how much I was gonna post lol.

If you’re going to move at all then sooner is better than later!

That top picture looks like a croc underwater

[–] IndigoLarry@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

I immediately thought of Venice. Can't imagine a croc there, though.

Coming from the Territory where we're renowned for our crocodiles it stood out in a heartbeat to me

Sorry I HAD to share this post I made a while back. Our indigenous crocs went extinct after surviving for fucking ever but were recently spotted again!

Huh I never knew there were crocs in Pakistan. I guess most of my life there wasn't

Been there since the dinosaurs were around, only time they weren't is when you were alive, suspicious stuff

Notice the source of light in the 5th image is artificial. And that painting is therefore different.

Included that image just to point this out.

That is jaw dropping. I wonder how expensive those paintings are

[–] MadMadBunny@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago

Woah — okay that is truly impressive

[–] TowardsTheFuture@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

The contrast in detail is wild I love it

If I look at a lake in the sun: a) without glasses B) with glasses C) with polarized sunglasses

Will A and B be the same? I thought my glasses caused more water reflection, but I’m also dumb.

Do you have an astigmatism? Cause that will make a difference.
