It varies. As DAB uses a higher frequency, it's more likely to come from more smaller transmitters, each covering a smaller area. Or, be available in a smaller region.
As DAB is an error corrected digital signal, it can tolerate noise/signal loss to some extent, but when it reaches the limit, it cuts out.
FM on the other hand will get worse (dropping stereo channel, increased noise) gradually until it fades into static.
