That’s what’s known as a “stile.” Just a fun fact I learned from a fairly ridiculous series of fantasy novels when I was a kid.

Piers Anthony! Apprentice Adept was a weird series but he put some love into it. Same thing I think about every time a stile comes up as well.
Once I learned what stiles were, I started seeing them everywhere...
Hmm maybe I should get on my posting game and add some western US stiles. This is very nice!
