I've been riding one pretty hard for my job for half a decade. It's pretty nice actually, I like the 2-axis touch scrolling. I wish it had a middle click, it's way too expensive, and last time I tried to get it working with Linux it was a fucking nightmare.

BetterTouchToolUI and set a middle click gesture. I consider that software mandatory for Max OS, and it's ridiculous that the features aren't built into the OS.

You have a very strange sense of humor.

Yeah well that’s not the worst honestly… I have the exact model and for reasons I cannot explain the ergonomics are incomparable with me. And I’m a mac user for my music production activities so it’s not like I’m a hater - I really don’t care. But I’ll stick to only using the touchpad on my mac book pro.

You laugh now, but let me see you find a better spot for a cable!

I'm assuming it can hold a charge long enough that you can just charge it while you're sleeping, and this won't interrupt your work. On the other hand, if they had placed the socket in the front, you could work while you charge.

I think it's probably totally usable once it finishes charging and you unplug the cord.

[-] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 3 points 9 months ago

But you are forced to wait until it is done charging.

A feature no other mouse has.

Well, that's Apple for you

IDK, I've used one and it really sucks. It's awkward to hold and the finger gestures are awkward to perform.

Just get a regular mouse or a big trackpad. I have an MX Master 3 at work and Triathlon M720 at home (I prefer the M720). I'm not a fan of Apple products generally, but the Logitech mice make it way more pleasant imo.

I pretty much only use Logitech mice. The few times I've used Apple stuff it felt like I was going to break it

I have a Microsoft Intellimouse Pro on my desktop, but other than that, Logitech seems to be pretty reliable. I did have bad luck with the g305 Lightning, so went for the Razer DeathAdder Mini for my wife.

My work mice have been solid though.
