Maybe we could stop giving a platform to the crazies that foster those stories. Both of them; the idiots that see ai artefacts everywhere but also the fear mongers of the sort of the blog here. It reminds me of « be afraid of rpgs » in the 80ies and then « videos games are going to turn teens in murderers » in the 90ies… every new tech has curves for their maturity, cultural & societal fit. We just so happen to be at the shitty times for ai. But eventually the fad will go away, most crazies will move to something else and attention whores will also find a new niche.
Yeah that sucks though. It dawned on me when I realised fly fishing sucks nowadays. There’s simply so little flying insects here that fishes aren’t feeding on them anymore and lost the reflex to go after them.
Now here I am trying to add flowers for insects in my garden to offset a bit my part in this :-/
Not that actually doing it isn’t absolutely horrible but wait till you have children, at about 7yo they invite 8 of their friends in your house and it’s pouring outside.
The idea of sedating them will eventually come in mind. Then obviously you’ll discard it.
And come the moment of cleaning the mess they inevitably leave you’ll wonder if you should have done it.
Sure but even looking a only the financial produce of one person for a family dwarfs the comical 23k here. And that’s not even looking at the emotional side of things. 23k is straight insulting imho.
Meh. Not like there are shareholders to appraise of growth…
Is there a legitimate reason why « we » globally care about their opinion ?
What the fuck is happening? Here in Belgium they started to deny citizenship to some Palestinian kids or something. Wtf is the narrative here?
At last something is more accessible than 30 years ago 🤗
Expensive. Everything is now so damn expensive suddenly.
That’s a bit of an extreme take on the topic… not wanting ads from the broadcaster is one thing, not wanting to be separately presented with the promotional items of the youtuber himself is something else. I like seeing what the guys I follow are putting out. Maybe a 2nd option in ads content would be appropriate for you but don’t throw everyone in the same bag…
As an outsider I fail to understand why the reason to close shops is so critical. Can’t they just say « fuck it we’re done here » at any point in time? What’s the point on pinning the closure on fictional crime level?
Sounds to me you kind of need both. Let’s take reddit :) as an example ; On one hand you could register it as a platform but then you’d need something to index the posts themselves so that you get relevant results for on-plateform content. Not everything needs to be a hammer :)
