This is a little old, but only just heard of this term of "low-conscientiousness conservatives" from YouTuber Leeja Miller.

"In newly published research, we found that it’s not conservatives in general who tend to promote false information, but rather a smaller subset of them who also share two psychological traits: low levels of conscientiousness and an appetite for chaos."

I hadn’t heard about this finding, so even though this is old I still appreciate it. I’m mildly obsessed with keeping track of what disinformation is spreading through these groups, so it’s great to gain some additional insight.

Got any info on the shit my grandma started spewing a few months ago?

Apparently Joe Biden and other prominent social figures are some sort of robot created by demons. "Based" on some verses in the bible. Or so they say. The only way to tell them apart from regular people is they have difficulty speaking and never blink

I don't like this at all. It's got psychoanalysis, and it just sounds smug. Dors this sort of thing work? If I call liberals lazy will they become marxists? I fuckin doubt it. ... unless? nah.

I appreciate them attempting to be scientific in a very messy space. But polling and surveys are notoriously unreliable for quite a few years now. There's many reasons for this, but one is pretty simple: people lie. Everyone is trying to play shitty little manipulation games on each other. It's a post-truth world, unfortunately.

You'd be surprised about how accurate scientific surveys are. The worst surveys are only 10% points off from real world data lol.

Unless you're gaming the survey like magazines do, real world studies aren't off by much.

Conscientiousness is one of the big five and is very well modeled.
