Over the weekend, I learned an interesting fact: The most popular Redditor of all time has amassed their karma by exclusively posting fanart images of anime girls and vTubers dozens of times a day for roughly five straight years. They have earned more than 46 million karma (Reddit points) by posting almost exclusively to relatively small anime-focused subreddits such as r/AnimeLingerie, r/GenshinImpactNSFW, r/BluearchiveNSFW, r/animebooty, r/animebodysuits, r/thighhighhentai, etc.

The user, called u/CheetahSperm18, spent years posting a mix of hentai and anime art but, more recently, has primarily posted a mix of SFW anime art and mildly NSFW anime waifus in lingerie. CheetahSperm18 passed the infamous u/gallowboob as the most popular Reddit users of all time sometime in 2021, according to the site Karmalb, which is a “Leaderboard for Reddit.”

There is a lemmy user who does the same damn thing for "moe" pics. I swear to God they made a new community for every single pic. I was trying to avoid blocking the user but it clogsv the "all" section really bad.

You can block the ani.social instance if anime art everywhere is not your cup of tea!

I've blocked so many moe communities lol

I believe you can block communities by name? Like all communities with "moe" in the name. It's been long enough that I don't remember how I did it though. Didn't want to directly block the bloke who was posting them, since they do actively post in communities I like.

What an absolutely awfully obnoxious website. Needs account to read the article, on the article on why we need to create accounts they immediately put in an overlay of REGISTER FOR NEWSLETTER.

I bypassed it fine using the Firefox reader mode

Oh My God! That's Disgusting. Where?

Extremely unsurprising, but still funny to me

Yeah I remember those subreddits, as someone from the anime community they where a personal Faivourite. They also made it over here with 1 or 2 pretty active posters which I appreciate.

Oh and to those who are annoyed by it, there is nothing stopping you from just blocking ani.social. it'll pretty much rid you of all anime art if thats not your cup of tea. Remember that community and Instance blocking is one of Lemmys strenghts!

It's probably zeospantera's alt account

That’s not necessarily the most popular (which they define as highest karma) reddit user, that’s just the highest karma account. Some people use multiple accounts or delete accounts and start new ones, and there’s no way we could assess which individual has the highest cumulative karma.
