I, specifically, am full of soup but that's unrelated.

No, soup requires a broth. Blood is more of a "protein shake" kinda thing:

tastes bad
full of protein and minerals
not cooked with heat
only consumed by weirdos
probably not actually all that good for you
ascribed mystical powers by those who drink it
