Are we checking? This is a place to take a p*ss out of motorsports.

F1 is not the only motorsport in the world, so go ahead and post your shitposts about WEC or MotoGP or IndyCar or ralley or Polish Speedway or whatever. Even Formula E, I guess. It needs some love, too.

By the way, F2 > F1.

Rules? What rules? Stop inventing. Just don't be a douche. Lemmy.world's sporting conduct applies.

Listen Yuki has done great things for formula 1! He fixed the F1 economy and he's a vegetarian!

Japan and east Asia in general has an interesting relationship with Nazism. Nazi chic is a thing.

Yes but with the exception of Japan, the Far East had little contact with Nazi Germany and the European/Western side of history isn't that well taught (if at all, surely a target of colonialism and occupation like the Philippines mentions Western powers more often than landlocked Mongolia). So I think a skewed view of Nazi Germany in mainland Far East Asia is kinda understandable but absolutely inexcusable for axis power Japan.

Btw, this video by Knowing Better is an amazing, "short" (23 minutes) overview over this aspect of modern Japanese culture: Playing the Victim | Historical Revisionism and Japan. Also read the pinned comment for a correction.
