Betamax/VCRs, CDs, cassettes, rewritable and recordable discs, floppy disks, video game cartridges.

Pupuntahan nyo yung bahay ng kalaro para sunduin, tas tatawagin mo yung pangalan, extended yung huling pantig. Sampol:
pangalan ng kalaro: Erning.
Sisigaw ka sa harap ng bahay: Erniiiiiiii~iing
Wallet-sized physical photos.
Di ko alam kung sa school or area lang namin, pero uso before yung studio pics ng barkada. Usually after exams maaga dini-dismiss yung students, so diretso sa mall after and isa yun sa mga madalas puntahan.
I used to store mine in casette tape cases and may mga ilan din akong napuno.
Photo studios nowadays are aiming towards occasions/parties na lang. Unlike before na kahit saang Kodak branch, may maglilinya mapa-bata o matanda.
And dang, may photo booth pa sila dati, eh.
Crank/prank calling back when landlines were still commonplace

Map of literacy rates per municipality according to the 2020 census. If the vast majority (1508/1634) are above 90% literacy, is it worth it?
Edit: Is it also worth it to post such huge-ass, 1:1,000,000 maps on Lemmy?
Edit: Made it 1:2,000,000 , and added a legend and per-province map.
For a moment I thought it's representing low literacy rates because of all the red.
Yes, which is why it isn't recommended to use reds often to represent data as it has a negative connotation by default. Source: I do mapping, cartography, and gis work.
But would you recommend blue to red if you wanted to highlight, say, towns which are more Kapampangan speaking?
I don't recommend it. Generally, you would want to use one hue for low to high values of sequential data but you can use 2 hues to increase contrast (e.g., light blue to dark blue, light yellow to blue). Blue and red are opposing colors and is more used as diverging scales where there are neutral tones (and values) in the middle (e.g., negative values, zero, positive values; blue-pale yellow-red). Here's a nice resource on color schemes, https://colorbrewer2.org
One Sports just announced they will air the FIFA Women's World Cup, at least for the Philippines matches.
Ever feel like 2 days off is not enough?
4-day work week when
Nung nag-umpisa lumuwag yung lockdown, we started with a 9am-2pm schedule. It was a temporary measure and often it felt like there was not enough time to finish my tasks. But it gave me enough time to take a 1-2 hour nap while leaving me some hours more for a bit more work and leisure.
Yeah. It's really not enough... 😔
kahit siguro 3 or 4 days na off di pa rin sapat.. lalo na mababa sahod...

Hello. As part of a research project, my group from Mapua University will be providing a survey about the Metaverse and Filipinos' cybersecurity habits on Web 3.0. Please avail of it and fill it in:
lemmy.world status updates didn't show any info on the prolonged downtime that happened earlier. Weird.

Nagbalik ang mga daga after so many years. I'm not a fan of poison because they just end up dying somewhere and stinking up the place. I also don't like glue bait since I'm not "man" enough to execute them once trapped.
So, I'm trying a new approach. Just placed an order for an electronic bait after reading up on it and watching videos. Sana effective.
What's the difference of teddit.net to tedd.it?
I saw this in lemmy.world frontpage. tedd.it is shutting down.
TL;DR:
Teddit is an open source software intended as an alternative front-end to reddit. It doesn't use an API (hence why you can only view it), but it still connects to reddit in order to present content. That means reddit can still implement restrictions to the servers hosting teddit.

Redid the literacy map with @mr_m00 's recommendations. Personally, I don't like using gradients for this; there is not much differentiation between the 90s and the 80s except the kind of green. I would still prefer the rainbow scheme more; at least there is so much color differentiation. I would just reverse the palette like so (although I do admit the blue is too dark to show borders):
(On second thought, the red-blue scheme can be applied here, as this is just percentages)
My main phone (One Plus 6T) would be 5 years old by December. And I still don't feel like replacing it yet. Problem though is that I can't find a good protective case for it now that the current case is slowly falling apart.
Medyo wary ako dun sa cheap looking cases due to bad experience. But you reminded me that I actually still have that Spigen case on my cart. I was still holding on the possibility that I could find it locally but I might end up completing the purchase at Amazon.
Nakapin pa din ba yung thread yesterday at hindi yung for today? Or may bug tong app na gamit ko?
It's supposed to be unpinned since early this morning, so might just be your instance not reflecting the changes just yet.

Ouch. I notice that it almost always takes place around 10pm-12am our time.
Also, why the hell attack a small community? Ano ito, mga Reddit loyalists??
