I was in a restaurant last week in Lisboa and they have this absolutely stunning view and there was still a table with it. But the waitress told us straight away, we'd be cooking in the sun (there was a roof, but the sun was angled just so), we might get a sunstroke, etc.
We played it safe just in case.
I thought maybe she was trying to keep the table for I dunno who, but everyone got the same spiel. One mum and her daughter thought to ignore her, sat at the table, then stood back up within 30 seconds.
Sometimes you gotta play it safe.
