There was also that Greek flight where they killed an entire plane load of people with hypoxia because the alarm for cabin air pressure was the same as the alert for arriving at cruising altitude so the flight crew didn't realize it was going off. And thanks to post-9/11 locked cabin policies, which has basically certainly killed more people than they helped, the captains weren't in proper communication with the rest of the crew.
For who doesn't want to watch a video for some reason: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Airlines_Flight_585
This channel used to be great, but ever since she changed her format it's not been nearly as good. She spends so much time now on irrelevant details and pads things out to double the length of what they used to be.
I unsubbed when she stopped in the middle of one of her videos to make a dumb joke about being a weatherperson on TV. Like, the video stopped and it showed her presenting a weather forecast and she tapped the screen like she was stuck inside. I dunno; it just felt like bad taste to make a joke in videos like this, and with half the videos now being padding and fluff I just wasn't feeling it anymore.
It sucks because I used to really like her content in the older format.
I've never heard of this channel. I watch Mentour Pilot for aviation disasters, mainly because it's interesting to hear stories from a pilot and it's done in good taste if tragedy is involved. When he does go into the fluff, it's always relevant for the findings report and conclusion at the end.
The problem you describe seems to be similar to a lot of true crime podcasts. Where despite talking about real people dying in horrible ways, they'll still find a way to insert skits and jokes as if its all just fiction and drama to be repackaged as an entertainment product.
